A tall glass of cold coffee would be the perfect refreshing drink to rejuvenate yourself at any time of the day. Enjoy the exquisite taste of coffee with milk, sugar, coffee powder and ice blended in your very own mini blender and food chopper. The blend can be prepared with many other additional ingredients besides the above-mentioned basic ones. Creativity is important in all things and cold coffee is no exception. In this article, we are sharing with you different ways in which you can enjoy cold coffee.
Basic Cold Coffee
The first recipe is for the simplest and basic cold coffee. You will need 1 cup of chilled milk, 1½ to 2 teaspoons of instant coffee powder, 1½ tablespoons of sugar and 4-5 ice cubes. You can adjust the sugar as per your desired level of sweetness in the cold coffee. This will make one serving.
To make the cold coffee, add all the ingredients except ice to the mini blender and food chopper and blend it till the sugar gets dissolved. Now add the ice cubes and blend again till the cold coffee gets frothy. Pour it into a tall glass of your choice, top it up with the froth, garnish with chocolate sprinkles or cocoa powder and enjoy the chilled blend.
Creamy Cold Coffee
The second preparation of cold coffee is richer than the previous one. The ingredients required are 3 tablespoon of instant coffee, 1 tablespoon warm water, 2 cups of chilled milk, 3 tablespoon sugar, 6 medium scoops of vanilla ice cream, half a cup fresh cream, chocolate sauce and ice cubes. For garnishing, you will need some cocoa powder and whipped cream.
To start with, mix the coffee powder and warm water in a bowl. Add to this mixture milk, sugar, fresh cream and chocolate sauce in a mini blender. Blend it till the sugar is dissolved. Now add the ice cream and the ice cubes and blend again. Rest the frothy coffee for a couple of minutes while you get the glasses ready. Pour a little chocolate sauce along the inside edge of the glass. The sauce will flow down and create a pattern. Now pour the cold coffee in the glasses and top it up with the froth. You can garnish the cold coffee with whipped cream and top it with some cocoa powder or chocolate sauce.
Caramel Macchiato Frappe
For creating this delicious variation of cold coffee, you will need 1 teaspoon of instant coffee powder, 1 tablespoon hot water, 1/3 cup chocolate milk, 2 tablespoon of caramel flavoured topping, 1 tablespoon sugar, ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract, 6-7 ice cubes and whipped cream
Start with dissolving the coffee powder in hot water. Add the coffee, chocolate milk, caramel sauce, sugar, ice and the vanilla extract in a mini blender and food chopper. Blend till it gets a slush texture. Pour it into the glass of your choice. Top it with whipped cream and drizzle the caramel topping over it. Enjoy!!
Almond Espresso Float
For the fourth and last recipe shared here, you will need 1 teaspoon of instant coffee powder, 1 tablespoon of hot water, ¾ cup chocolate milk, 1/8 teaspoon almond extract, 2 scoops of coffee ice cream, chilled cream soda, whipped cream and cocoa powder for garnishing
Chill a 16oz glass in the freezer. Mix the coffee and hot water in a bowl. Blend the coffee, chocolate milk and almond extract and pour it in the chilled glass. Add the ice cream. Fill up the glass with cream soda and top it with whipped cream and garnish with cocoa powder. Delicious Almond Espresso Float is ready.
